Baking Chocolate Chip Cookies!!!!!

This might be surprising, since those that know me well know that I don't eat many sweets, but I love to bake! Some might say that chocolate chip cookies are my specialty :) Here's my recipe (and yes, cheating off the Toll House bag is allowed)!

Ingredients:

2 1/4 cups self-rising flour

1 teaspoon baking soda

1 cup (2 sticks) butter

3/4 cup granulated sugar

3/4 cup packed brown sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 eggs

2 cups (or more!) Chocolate Chips!!!! :)

My secret is self-rising flour: it makes the cookies fluffier and causes them to raise more. But, there's a lot of salt in the flour, so I don't add any extra!

Before you start, preheat your oven to 375 degrees. Then, beat the butter, brown and granulated sugars, and vanilla using a mixer. Add the flour and baking soda slowly, allowing them to mix fully before adding more so you don't get covered in white powder. That lesson was learned the hard way! :) Add the eggs, being careful that none of the shells escape into your dough! Then, add as many chocolate chips as you want. There's no such thing as too much chocolate!

Bake the cookies until they turn a pretty golden color, or about 10 minutes. Share with family and friends!
